Embroidery began for me at five years of age when my mother introduced me to the basic stitches.Over the years I have been involved in many kinds of sewing handicrafts but as my family grew up, I have drifted very strongly back into embroidery and I was introduced to patchwork in 1988.
In 2000 I began producing Candlewick kits and patterns from a studio at the rear of my home. The setting for the studio is very peaceful and is surrounded with gardens and trees. The business has grown steadily from simple beginnings and in 2007 my husband, Bruce, was introduced to the business assisting with mail orders, kit and pattern packaging and other duties. We have a good working relationship and enjoy working together.
You are welcome to visit my studio on Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 12noon. If you wish to visit at another time, an appointment is necessary.
Sew Stitchable is located at 2 Trafford Road, Hope Valley. SA 5090. Go over the hump at the end of the road and on your right you will see a red brick, flat roofed house. Follow the signs and go through the lattice gate at the front of the house. Please refer to the MAP for more details.
